The first ever union of all Ashtavaidyas , other eminent vaidyas, and the modern English Physicians was like a congress called in by Apollo. The wisdom in each family was expressed , discussed and shared. This exchange of wisdom with a long heredity of thousands of years from each family gave birth to the Kerala School of Ayurveda better known as Samajam Sampradayam. The diagnostics and therapeutics took a new turn by incorporating the wisdom of each one weaving a fine fabric with a new mission and vision, a practical diagnostic warp and the traditional therapeutic as weft giving birth to the present finest fabric of today’s Ayurveda with a high tensile strength. The sheen of this fabric was such that it shined not just in Malabar or Cochin or Travancore but across the entire continent ringing the bells even at the Buckingham Palace.

Today’s medical panel is headed by Dr. BM Hegde, [Cardiologist, MD, FAMS, FRCP (London), FRCP (Glasg.), FRCP (Edinb.), FRCP (Dublin), FACC (USA)] former Vice Chancellor Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, along with Padmashree Dr. K. Rajagopal. The other doctors include Ashtavaidyan Alathiyur Narayanan Nambi, Ashtavaidyan Thykkattu Divakaran Mooss, Dr.K.Sreedharan Nair (Retd. Professor, Ayurveda College), Dr.Sr.Doneta, MD (Ay), Sree Avanapparambu Maheswaran Nambudirippadu, and Sree T. Unnikrishnan Nair from Ayurveda School and Dr.V. Ananad Mohan MBBS, MD, DGO, Dr. Madhuravalli Thampi MBBS, DGO, Dr. M.P. Santhakumar MD and Dr. Haridas Menon MBBS from Allopathy School.
