In 1990, the Samajam put another benchmark for carrying out health studies by starting specialized clinical research units; under the general title “clinic for Diabetes and Infertility.” The uniqueness of its research clinics is that it re-searches on the heritage wisdom of Ayurveda relentlessly through the available literature on one hand and, on the other, it modifies and applies the traditional knowledge the disorders diagnosed on modern lines and verifies the result again on modern lines. A number of modern hospitals and medical research centers and modern medical practitioners and research scientists help the Samajam in its struggle to unveil the secrets of tradition for the benefits of the humanity as a whole.

Close on the heel, the Samajam introduced specialized clinical research units for Diabetes mellitus and its long term complications, male sterility and sub-fertility problems, Degenerative brain disorders and stroke, Ischemic heart diseases and hyper cholestremia, Psoriasis and skin diseases, and certain forms of cancer, during the last 10 years.

Preparations are being carried out to re-introduce the “Kayakalpa/Rasayana” practices for re-vitalizing the person who suffer irreversible and degenerative disorders affecting the brain, liver and immune system.

In 2004, the Samajam launched yet another thing the concept of preventive Health care. Against the backdrop of complex disorders, prolonging medicinal treatments and ever-increasing medical expenses, the focus on preventive health care assumes greater significance in modern times. In order to help the health savvy people, the Samajam introduced the first ever 10-day systematic health programme under the title “Swasthavrutham Sukha chikitsa” on 1st June 2004. And, in order to help the needy, who cannot undertake the programme are supported by providing a health regimen to practice. The unique feature of the regimen is that it is individual specific as well helpful to the ill, not so ill and the healthy. Preparations are under way to make available these preventive health care practices, universal.
